  Soros, Hong Kong Donor Fund J Street One of the hottest stories in Washington at the moment was broken by my former Forward and New York Sun colleague Eli Lake, who reported that the left-wing advocacy group on Arab-Israeli issues J Street is being funded by George Soros and a Hong Kong-based figure named Consolacion Esdicul. The Washington Examiner, Weekly Standard, and Atlantic (Jeffrey Goldberg) all follow up. This all raises plenty of questions, but among them are: Will President Obama, who has been attacking the Supreme Court and Republicans in Congress for supposedly allowing "foreign-controlled corporations seeking to influence our democracy" the ability to "spend freely" reconsider his close relationship with J Street now that he knows it is funded by a foreign individual?
