The New York Times manages to run a long, front-of-the-business-section article about a Department of Transportation emergency order about the safety of oil being transported by rail without mentioning: 1. Warren Buffett, whose Berkshire Hathaway owns the Burlington, Northern, and Santa Fe, a big railroad. 2. Senator Schumer, who has been agitating on this issue 3. the Keystone XL pipeline, which would take some of the oil off the railroads. The story would have been better had it brought those newsworthy people and issues in.
